Welcome to Mac Impro

Well, I can't access my host via FTP, so this blog will do for now.

This is a desperate attempt to reduce the number of emails sent by me, so that only important information will come to you via the mailing list.

This site / blog will contain show and jam information, as well as random possibly-related stuff like auditions and other shows etc that I find interesting and worthy of passing on.

If you have feedback or something you want to add, please let me know.

Video and still camera operators needed

Forwarded from Tay O'Keefe:

***

To an exciting matter at hand, I have been taking photos of Theatresports in Sydney for over 5 years and in other fields for over 10 years most of the photos on the Theatresports websites are mine.

I have loved bringing happiness to the players and audience by doing this. I would like to share my knowledge with any budding photographers and camera people!!! There are so many great shows and players I want to do more than has ever done before...

FILM SHOWS!!! I want to be able to film Grad nights, Scriptless and even Belvoir and all shows that want to have photos taken as well as filming done!!! This will be a great resource for players to improve their playing and also to show family members in many years to come!

I would like to film Scriptless and potentially other shows for future screening nights for the players and maybe even one day in the future a show to (with everyone's permission of course) Broadcast. Possibly to put on DVD to sell to the players at a low cost, so they can have a copy of their amazing feats of madness forever.

For the moment we just want to do it for archiving and to show the players for improvement.

However I need your help, If you have experience in using a Video or digital camera we would like you to be part of our team. Uni Students, Workers, avid film makers all are welcome. This a great training ground for future projects as I have found.

If you have your own equipment it would great help (Mini DVD,3ccd, Hi 8, any camera that works I don't care how big and ugly) but not it's not absolutely necessary to have, we welcome all that may be interested. We will look into sponsorship soon and possible funding of equipment but until then we need everyone's combined help.

Please reply also if you would be Interested in BEING FILMED, for future viewing for yourself...so we know to film you!!!!

If you have equipment that we can use but you are not interested in doing the filming yourself this also may help and I will be willing to personally talk to anyone that may just want to be filmed......

This will hopefully start this Friday with the first night at the New Venue......

The idea is that this Christmas we can get together and have a few laughs at a "Best of Theatresports Scenes Awards Night" showing clips of amazing scenes not to be forgotten.

If you are interested in being part of something fun and creative as well as helping us keep a historical record of the great funny stuff that may never been seen again......Be a part of the PHOTO TROOP!! Stills and Film and everything else you can think of, lights, sound, set dressing etc.....the options are endless!!!

Its great fun to be a part of the troop..... Please call Tay if you are even in the slightest intrigued on 0438 911 189

Or email me on tay@centralcasting.com.au - I'd like to get a full team of people ready to take part in the show on Fridays with potential for other shows coming up as well.

Even if you can't make this particular day (Friday's) and would like to be involved please let me know, we'll work you in....

Details for this weeks show are

Where: The Clarence Hotel cnr Crystal St and Parramatta Rd (opp. Hay St., 100m down from Norton St.) Petersham
