Cranston Cup 2004

The first heat of this year's Cranston Cup (top-level theatresports competition) was a mind-numbing success. Melon of Troy (two-parts Mac Impro) took out the top spot after a tense three-way tie-breaker at the end of the fourth round!! A big thanks to our wonderful vociferous supporters. I, too, heart the Melon...

Go and see the other competitors every Sunday night at Belvoir St Theatre (http://www.belvoir.com.au), and make sure you're there to cheer on the Melon in their next heat, Sunday November 7.

And remember to go and support the up-and-coming talent every Friday night at Scared Scriptless, 8pm at the Clarence Hotel in Petersham. More details and photos at http://scriptless.improaustralia.com.au

UNSW theatresports show

The kids at UNSW have recently started a theatresports show of their own, and it sounds like they have an enthusiastic following. The show itself is still finding its feet, so i thought we should get together and show our support.

The show is in the upstairs bar of the Roundhouse, and runs fortnightly at 1pm Thursdays. The next show is on September 23rd.

Check out www.studiofour.org.au for more details...
